HIPAA Notice

Benchmark Medical Billing provides billing services to healthcare providers as a business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We are not a healthcare provider and do not issue our own Notice of Privacy Practices; patients should refer to the notice provided by their healthcare provider.

Our commitments

• We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every client before handling any protected health information.
• We use and disclose protected health information only as permitted by the BAA and HIPAA.
• Client files and patient data are exchanged only through the secure client portal or another secure method agreed with each client at onboarding, never by email.
• We limit access to protected health information to the people who need it to do the work.
• We report breaches of unsecured protected health information to the affected client as the BAA and HIPAA require.

This website is not intended to collect protected health information. Please do not submit patient information through website forms, email or scheduling notes.
